No Raincoats Required

Somehow, Anthony convinced Bill to pull some of the Raincoats' biggest songs out of the closet and into DBD's repertoire. Hesitantly Bill agreed, and the result was 1994's No Raincoats Required, a collection of 12 of the Raincoats' biggest and best (including ''For Your Love'' and ''It's Never'')... and, ironically, the album that contained DBD's best live songs (''Maybe I,'' ''Catch Me,'' and ''The River''). The album also reproduced much of the fast-paced new-wave sound the Raincoats had and kept a lot of the wild analog keyboards that Tommy Kolpak was responsible for, but Bill's trademark buzzsaw guitars were a lot louder in the mix this time out.
