Both solo albums have been postponed until Christmas of 2008, most likely to coincide with the releases of Guns n' Roses Chinese Aritmetic and the videogame Duke Nukem Forever. My musical priority is now Death Before Disco, and at the rate we're going, there's a good chance we'll have a ton of new music for you before the end of this year.
In case anyone's interested, here's a ZIP archive (82MB) containing a bunch of my karaoke performances over the past year. The following songs are included:
Ace of Spades (Motörhead)
Common People (Pulp)
Possession (Sarah McLachlan)
Pictures of You (the Cure)
One More Minute (Weird Al Yankovic)
Somewhere Only We Know (Keane)
I'll Be (Edwin McCain)
Killing in the Name… (Rage Against the Machine)
Circle of Life (Elton John)
Brian Wilson (Barenaked Ladies)
Big Bottom (Spinal Tap)
Even Flow (Pearl Jam)
Earache My Eye (Cheech & Chong)
Nothingness has been postponed to March 15, 2007. Existence has been pushed back to August 10th. Part of the reason for the delay for Nothingness is because Anthony Volpe doesn't exactly see the need to release Nothingness on Valentine's Day. It used to be his least favorite holiday, but that could very well change. He now sees releasing Nothingness on Valentine's Day as a petty and unnecessary insult.
More on all this as it happens.
It turns out that CDBaby, one of our CD distributors, had already submitted Death Before Disco's Seven Years Bad Luck to iTunes back in June 1st of this year...
...along with 36 other online distribution houses?!?!?!?!?!?!
Anyway – to buy the album from AudioLunchbox, click here. The album has not been listed with iTunes yet.
Recorded two weeks ago at a Karaoke bar. You've been warned.
Anthony Volpe now has a website with a snazzy-ass (stodgy) CSS layout.
He also has a new EP called Disastrophe. Click the album cover below to download it.
The track listing for this 9-song monstrosity is as follows:
Disastrophe
I Don't Want the World to End Yet
Screamager
Anyone Who'll Take Me
A Brief Respite
Territorial Pissings
Nookie
I Quit
Pretty Vacant
"Disastrophe" will also appear on the upcoming album Nothingness. "I Don't Want the World to End Yet" will appear on the upcoming album Existence.
As for these two new albums, Anthony hopes to have them completed and released by Valentine's Day of 2007. Stay tuned here for more info. In the meantime feel free to explore the rest of the site for the old stuff.
